Many people first experience Magma through group canvases and Art Jams. But what if you just want to draw by yourself, or only have certain friends join you? Then you can create a canvas in your Artdesk.
What is the Artdesk?
The Artdesk is your personal and private dashboard. It will show drawings that you've created and recent ones that you've accessed.
Any canvases you create here are private UNLESS you share the link with friends or use the invite button to have specific people join you.
Tap the Magma logo on the top left to go to your Artdesk:
Create a new canvas
Creating a new canvas is simple. Either tap on the blue New Canvas button
OR
tap the arrow next to it to open a menu of different presets or create a custom canvas.
Invite others to draw with you
There are many ways to invite someone else to draw with you.
Share the link/URL by copying it from the address bar or tap on the blue share button and select Copy link
Tap the Invite button and select people that you recently drew with, people that follow you, or invite them by email.
If they are logged into Magma and allow drawing invites, they will see a blue notification appear on-screen.
Open your canvas up to anyone that follows you by tapping on the Share button and then toggle the Allow followers to join switch.
Followers will then see that you have an open drawing in their Following Activity panel.
Please remember that after someone joins the canvas, they will always have access to it and it's chat history. You might also want to consider adjusting the Admin permissions of your canvas.
