The Magma Feed shows you updates from your user network: the people you are following on Magma. When they post images and links, it will appear on your feed.
IMPORTANT: Please note that Magma is a drawing platform. Use your Gallery and Feed appropriately. You can find more rules for posting at the bottom of this guide.
Engaging with your Feed
On the left side of your Artdesk you’ll notice a new Feed page option. From here, you'll be able to see activity in your Following network.
Each posts show how many people viewed it, Liked, and comment on it. You can also repost things that you want your followers to see as well.
To see who liked a posts, you can tap on 'X others' to open a pop up with a list of all the users who liked that post.
Posting
There are two places that you can make posts: on the Feed page and from your Public Profile.
Posting from the Feed
You can post regular text updates, invite links to canvases, and external links that you think might be interesting for friends.
You can either tap the blue New Post button or in the new post text box.
Reposting others
You can also repost things published by other users. Look for the repost button in the bottom right of the post.
When reposting, you'll be able to add your own comments to the post, and it will appear on to your followers in the Feed.
Posting from your Public Profile
To visit you profile, tap on your user button in the top right and then on your username or display name.
Tap on the Posts tab to view your posts. Thjis page only shows your posts;
Tap on the text box or the New Post button to begin your new post;
You can add an image to your post by tapping the Add an image button;
You can format the text in your post, or add external links such as interesting articles or YouTube videos. When you are done, hit Post.
The Link a Magma canvas button will open an image selector will appear where you can choose from Recent drawings, My Artdesk drawings, or Art Jam canvases.
IMPORTANT: This is not an image post. It adds a link to that canvas.This is another way that you can invite people to contribute to your canvas.
Posting images to the Feed
When you share drawings to your Profile Gallery, these will automatically be added to your Posts page and to the Feed of your followers. You can read more about this in our Gallery guide.

Reporting posts
You can report posts or comments on posts by tapping on the three dots to open the action menu. Then select the report option.

Rules of the Feed and Posting
It's important to note that Magma is a drawing platform and not a regular social media site. We have an incredibly diverse community of varying age groups and cultural backgrounds. As such, we have some rules about what we allow to be posted.
We may, at any time, remove things that are harmful or offensive to the Magma community, or that do not fit the culture of platform we are building together. Types of posts that we will remove include:
sexist, racist, and homophobic comments or slurs;
encouraging or glorifying violence against others;
explicit sexual content;
content that targets or encourages harassment of other users;
drama and abusive language between users on the platform that spills into public spaces;
harmful political content, false information, and propaganda;
religious content that that discriminates, attacks, or insults others;
sensitive personal information that may put user at risk;
links to harmful or sexual content, gambling websites, etc.
Failure to adhere to these rules may lead to your account being restricted, or in severs cases, an immediate and irrevokable ban from the platform.
Regarding self-harm content
We understand that art is a refuge for many people in our community. We have, however, noticed a significant rise in self-harm content on the platform too. Depending on the nature of these posts we might remove them entirely or hide them from public view with a link for support. Your wellbeing is important to us and we hope that this can help:
