Your Public Profile now has a gallery for artworks that you want to share with others. These can be added from your Artdesk or Art Jams you’ve participated in.
IMPORTANT: Please note that Magma is a drawing platform. Use your Gallery and Feed appropriately. You can find more rules for posting at the bottom of this guide. As a core guideline: do not post it if you did not draw it.

The Gallery Page
On your user profile, there will be a dedecated Gallery page. You can easily visit your gallery by tapping on your user button and then selecting Visit Gallery. You will also notice a new View Gallery button in the user tooltip for other users.
Adding images to your Gallery
There are several ways to add images to your Gallery. It can be done from the Gallery page on your profile, from the main dashboard, and directly from the canvas.
From the Gallery Page
Tap on the Post to Gallery button;
An image selector will apear where you can choose from Recent drawings, Artdesk canvases, and Art Jams you’ve participated in;
After choosing an image, you can edit the decription of the post.
Please ignore the Canvas Link option shown in the above image. That is for a future update ;-)
From the main dashboard
Tap on the 3 dots to open the context menu for the drawing;
Select Publish to Gallery and follow the same flow as above.
From the Editor
Tap on the blue Share button;
Select Publish to Gallery;
Enter the description for your drawing in the new modal that appears;
Please note that NSFW images are not permitted on profile galleries at this time. We are exploring options for mature posting. Until then, our team may remove images that are considered inappropriate or offensives for our wider userbase.
User tooltip
Your user tooltip, when you or others hover over your avatar, displays the last 4 images that you posted in your gallery. If you haven't posted anything yet, it will display some sad grey Pyros.
Viewing Gallery images
The gallery page of your profile shows an overview of all your image posts. Tapping on an image will open the full view that includes the image descripion, who liked your post, and comments on it. The image has a unique URL that you can share with others.

The View Canvas button will open a Read Only version of the canvas where others can see your layer structure.
To like someone else’s post, tap on the heart icon beneath the description. This can only be done in the full view of the image.
How to remove images from the Gallery
You can remove an image from the gallery either in the main overview of the gallery, or in the full image view by tapping on the three dots to open the action menu. Then select Delete.

Other actions
Report (only available for viewers) Reports canvas to our moderating team if it goes against our community guidelines.
Copy post URL Adds link to your clipboard that you can paste elewhere.
Disable comments (only available to original poster) Prevents others from being able to comment on your post. If this is toggled after comments have been made, it will hide existing comments.
Public Homepage Gallery
We also have a public gallery on the homepage where you can discover amazing drawings from fellow Magma users that you aren't following yet. All images that people post to their profile galleries will appear here.
Gallery Rules
The Profile Feed and Gallery are a way to share your journey, interests and skills as an artist on Magma. This not like other social platforms and we have a wonderfully diverse community of users. As such, we have some rules about posting to the gallery and the type of content we allow. This general rule is: do not post things that you did not draw. We may, at any time, remove content that we feel is not relevant or potentially harmful to the Magma community.
Content we do not permit includes:
photos - of yourself, your food, plushies, what you bought today, non-drawing crafts, your celebrity crushes, etc.
screenshots - such as from video games, movies, secret message apps, chats, your Spotify playlist, and memes, etc.
AI-generated images - we value actual human input;
images that are only text that could be done as a regular post;
any racist, sexist, or homophobic content, or posts that include slurs;
symbols of oppression - such as flags, photos, and emblems of oppressive groups or people;
any glorification of war and violence against others;
plagiarism - if you do a study or create something heavily inspired by someone else's work, it is important that you reference that artist in your image description;
due to concerns around self-harm content on the platform, we may remove images representing self-harm or suicide.
When it comes to NSFW/18+ content, we also have to take a stricter stance while we improve ways to restrict exposure to younger users. This applies to both the Gallery and Art Jams. With that in mind, even with the Mature/18+ label:
We do not permit obvious and explicit sexual content to be posted to the gallery.
Light nudity, such as for figure drawing studies is permitted.;
Sexualized characters and obscene nudity are not permitted;
Any images that involve non-consentual sex, abuse, illegal acts with underage people or characters, or with animals, is strictly prohibitted and will lead to an immediate and irrevokable ban from the platform.
