In some situations where another user is causing trouble, you might want to block them from your canvas, your artspace, or completely from your profile. Below we'll look how to block users in different contexts and what effect it has.
How to block another user's profile
There are two places were you can block another user's profile:
their Profile page
When you visit a person's profile, tap on the three dots to open a menu. Here you will find the option to follow/unfollow, block user or report.
from the canvas participants list
When you are drawing on a canvas, tap the user avatars in the top right to open the participant's list. Tap the three dots next to a user's name and select Block User.
When you block a user profile they will no longer be able to:
view your profile;
view and comment on your posts;
join canvases you create;
join Art Jams you host;
send you direct messages (upcoming feature);
invite you to canvases (check if fixed)
Your chats on the same canvas will also be hidden from each other.
How to unblock someone
If you change your mind or have blocked someone by accident, you can unblock them by going to your Account settings.
Tap on your user button or avatar in the top right
then select Account and Billing in the menu.
Go to Blocked users
Tap the unblock button
If the user previously joined your canas, you'll be able to unblock them from the Participants List for that canvas too.
The other user may need to refresh their page for the unblock to take effect on their side.
How to block a user from your canvas or Art Jam
As the owner or admin on a canvas, you will be able to kick users from the canvas and block them from entering again.
Open the Participant list by tapping on the user ivons in the top right of the UI;
Tap on the three dots next to the user's name;
Select Block from Canvas;
This blocks the user only from this canvas.
If you do not want this person to join any of your future canvases, you can block their profile as described in the previous section.
How to block a user from your Artspace
Similar to blocking a user from the canvas, if the canvas was made in an artspace, you'll have the option to block the user from the artspace directly from the canvas that you are in.
Alternatively, you can go to your Artspace settings, and then the members page to look up the user and bloc them from there.
To block a user from the Artspace, you must be the owner or an admin with the appropriate permissions to manage Artspace members. Artspace admins are automatically admins on canvases made in the Artspace.
