Hosting great Art Jams can take a lot of time and effort to manage. To empower those who make art and host events for a living, Magma has introduced a way to run paid Art Jams on the platform. The setup is quite similar to regular Art Jams, though with some slight differences.
Creating your Paid Art Jam
Go to the main Art Jams page and create a new Jam;
Input all the relevant details such as a title and description;
It would be even more important to add a Rules section for paid Art Jams than regular ones;
Toggle the switch for Require Mags fee to enter;
Adjust the slider or input the specific amount;
When you're ready, hit Publish Jam.
Invite a co-host for free
If you'd like someone to join without paying, like a friend, cohost, or moderator, there is an options for this in the Invite popup. Look for the Grant free access button.
When others join your Jam...
When others join your paid Art Jam, a message will appear in the chat window to announce that they joined. Be sure to welcome them!
You'll notice the Earnings indicator in the top right grow as people join. Note that Magma takes a small commission on the spending of Mags and that includes when users join paid Art Jams.
Joining paid Art Jams
You can tell that an Art Jam has an entrace fee in two ways:
There is a Mags icon in the top corner of the preview in the Art Jams feed with the amount at the bottom of the preview.
When you view the description before joining, the fee be indicated at the bottom and in the Join button.
Can I rejoin a paid Art Jam later without having to pay again?
Yes! After you pay the entrance fee, you will not have to pay again if you leave and come back to it later, or if the host adjusts the fee.
Will I be refunded if I leave a paid Art Jam?
No. It's important to consider the rules, theme, and the creator before joining a paid Jam. It's always a good idea to view the host's profile first to check if they are a serious creator or not.
In very special cases we might refund users for joining a paid Art Jam.
Guidelines
Please be sure to follow the standard community guidelines when hosting paid Art Jams. Mature canvases should be labeled as 18+. Any Jams that are offensive or harmful to our community will be removed and your earnings potentially forfeit.
